Fixed Net (Hikado Fixed Net Fishing Cooperative)
We are engaged in fixed-net fishing along the Kesennuma coast. Fixed-net fishing is a method of fishing that makes migrating fish swim into nets fixed in the sea, and is attracting renewed attention as a technique with a relatively low environmental impact. Fixed-net fishing in the Oya district of Kesennuma has an over 400-year history, but in recent years, young people and new residents have been getting involved because of its sustainability and the ease of balancing work with life by being able to work close to the land.

Recruitment
